Your travel to and from the workshop is down to you; however, our team are here to help with most things travel-related.
Your travel insurance. Insurance which covers cancellation is important.
Yes, we have purposely planned some of the workshops almost 'back to back' to enable you to make the most of your stay with us. You will have a few days' rest before starting your second workshop and will be guaranteed the same room. The added bonus is that we will grant you a 10% discount on your second workshop.
We have quite a lot of students who take advantage of two workshops, especially if you have purchased flights/travel.
If you are flying internationally, our local airports are Manchester International and/or Leeds/Bradford for Europe inbound. If coming by rail, then you need to get to Leeds, changing for 'Keighley' and/or 'Steeton & Silsden', where you can hire a cab, taxi or Uber. Please reach out to our team, and they will help you.
Leeds/Bradford Airport is around 35 minutes from us and Manchester International is around 90 minutes. Our nearest train station is 'Steeton & Silsden' and is about 10 minutes away. The team will recommend taxi companies to you if you're booking yourself, or we can help arrange this for you.
Yes. Keighley Enterprise is the nearest, alongside Skipton Self Drive. Most students collect a car at the airport. If of interest, we can send you further details.
We offer several:-
We welcome either and although they won't be joining you during the daytime tutoring sessions, they are more than welcome to join us for everything else. The cost of their tier is reduced. Non-painting partners pay 50%.
We can never predict the weather, so please be reminded that this is an outdoor week for the most part. We will have our marquee in situ; however, we advise you to bring layers of clothing, as we get chilly evenings sometimes.
Please bring your own en Plein Air travel easel as well as your outdoor painting kit. On-site, we will have paper towels, brush cleaner and limited oil paints (ask ahead). We do have a few easels to lend out and so if you aren't able to travel with yours, please ask ahead in plenty of time.
It's wise to write a note and tape it to your paints for Customs and TSA to read inside your 'hold' luggage (no paint as a carry-on). Put in your note that the paint is for creating artwork.
We are offering you an experience of being totally immersed in your week of art with your teacher and fellow students. The whole experience of staying within the grounds of The Carr Head Hall Country Estate. A feeling of camaraderie and a week to make new friendships. The luxury of finishing your evening and only being a short walk away from your bedroom to relax. This really is a special place. Past students have made so many lovely comments about how staying with us has been one of the most memorable weeks of their lives, many of them returning year after year.
Yes, you may pay in full or choose our 3-part payment plan. Once you have committed to a workshop, our team will contact you with payment plan details and 'ways to pay', i.e Bank to Bank transfer information.
Absolutely yes! This is within our terms & conditions. You must have full travel cancellation insurance in place and provide our team with your reference number. This is essential to protect YOU!
Cancellation policy:
If you would like us to hold on to them for a while to dry and ship them onwards to you, we can with pleasure - We will charge you the cost of the courier, that's all! We have some very good deals with our couriers. Yes, we will always help you to package anything up and ship it home afterwards.
Sorry, no pets or animals allowed.
This is one of the most frequently asked questions. We get it! The minute you arrive through our gate, we will take care of you, and so will your teacher. Hey.... if all the students were 'so good', they perhaps wouldn't be here either. It's our job (and pleasure) to help you relax and 'breathe'. Over the years, we've helped build students' confidence and any anxiety on arrival soon goes with a hug. Don't worry.
Sign up and experience a week that will change your life!
Yes. You are staying within the grounds of both Rosemary's home and the home of 'Rosemary Brushes'. Rosemary will welcome you and potter around on and off all week to watch your week unfold. She will be with you most mornings for breakfast as well as late afternoons to catch a glimpse of that day's ‘learning and adventure’, followed by joining you for dinner. You will have a ‘factory tour’ and brush demonstration too.
Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
