5 Day 'En Plein Air' Watercolour (or bring your oils) Workshop
In this workshop, we will focus on the joy and freedom of plein-air watercolour. How to translate what you see into fresh, luminous paintings, full of life, atmosphere and story.
In the first half of the week, we will strengthen foundations to build confidence and also loosen up, and learn how to let water and pigment work their magic. The second half of the week we move into more developed paintings on location. Along the way, you’ll learn to simplify scenes, capture light and atmosphere, moving things around the scene to compose your own story, while embracing the spontaneity of watercolour.
This workshop is flexible and inclusive, regardless of your painting medium, for people who want to explore the unique freshness and flexibility of plein-air painting with watercolours. Harsh will give personal feedback, and 1-1 guidance, so you can grow at your own pace while enjoying the adventure of painting together.
The aim is for you to leave with not just stronger paintings, but also the confidence to keep exploring watercolour outdoors on your own. Whether you’re new to watercolour or an experienced painter in any medium looking to push your skills further, this is your chance to relax, experiment, and enjoy painting outdoors.
