5 Day 'En Plein Air' Oil Workshop
Scott's goal is to compose an aggregate vision of nature's beauty, while also delighting in that journey. "The process alone," he says, "Is worth the effort."

13th - 17th July
5 Day 'En Plein Air' Oil Workshop
Kathie says . . . 'I call myself a "Nostalgic Impressionist"' as a way of identifying the subjects and style of painting that interest her the most.

20th - 24th July
5 Day 'En Plein Air' Oil Workshop
Mark paints many different subjects, but 'the landscape is my first and greatest love'. He is 'profounded by the power of light'. His commitment to 'capturing and sharing this light with others is the purpose underlying everything I do.'

10th - 14th August
5 Day part 'En Plein Air' - part Studio Workshop
'Having learned to paint from life, bringing live dogs and horses into her workshops was a natural step. This provides a spark of inspiration along with valuable information and maybe just a bit of chaos!'

19th - 23rd August
5 Day part 'En Plein Air' - part Studio Workshop
'My work is a celebration of light-filled moments revealed in rich and vibrant oil paint using my personal visual language of fresh and direct brushmarks. Painting en plein air is central to my practise, but I am equally at home working from a model, still life or interior.'

26th - 30th August
5 Day part 'En Plein Air' - part Studio Workshop with models
Aldo looks for colour harmonies that already exist in the subject. He squints a lot when painting and this helps him to simplify everything, see things within a hierarchy- the sharpest edge, the lightest part, the order of things that he is searching for. He works quickly, spending almost as much time on the setup and ideas as on the painting itself.
