Artist's Retreat Week's

We will meet for coffee at 9 AM each day either in our Summer Marquee or, if the weather dictates otherwise, in our newly opened studio. 

Together we will discuss our day ahead, who's drawing or painting this morning. Too much to digest? Let's take it slow and pick a spot. Fancy a still life? Let's set one up!

11 AM:- Time for coffee and cake, then back to our study.

1 PM:- Lunch break. Let's fuel ourselves ready for the afternoon.

4 PM:- Shall we call it a day? For some yes and for others who want to keep going that's fine. You set your own pace. No pressure, no set rules. 

6 PM:- Cocktail hour. Time to unwind, discuss the day and make new friends.

7 PM:- Dinner. This really is a culinary week with our chef on two evenings serving us delicious dinner and of course traditional English 'puds'.

• Homemade pizza, crispy and fresh.
• Our coach trip and 'mystery' tour of the Yorkshire Dales, taking in the delights of so many beautiful Hamlets and villages with photo stops and walkabouts. Dinner this evening is in a traditional local pub, a really special place.
• A Fish 'n' Chip supper. We really do excel in good old-fashioned food at its best and our local 'chippy' takes such good care of us.

As our 5 days together get underway we decide and plan... Shall we go out of the gate for the day? Maybe we'll go painting somewhere different? A Hamlet, allotments, ruins, water, or just a different view. It's your choice and your 5 days. Whatever we choose, we'll be learning together, bouncing ideas at one another. 

This really is the time for camaraderie, making new friends for the nervous or new 'En Plein Air' painter, a time to build confidence, to breathe, to enjoy all we have to offer.

Those artists who want to gather with like minded people. Who don't want a tutored day but a day of "I'll choose". By choosing both your own medium and pace you really can excel. Experiencing a group of artists all together, all sharing ideas really does grow your confidence.
